Welcome to the newly enrolled Carolina students. We look forward to welcoming you to campus and seeing you involved in campus life. There is spot for all Carolina students who play woodwind, brass and percussion instruments and these students are encouraged to get involved in the UNC Bands.
Being part of a college band is very different than being involved in high school bands. We spend less time in rehearsal, perform more and learn much quicker. And, everyone involved wants to be there so there are very few motivation issues. Everyone involved in doing so to fulfill a musical and/or social need and by working together we have some amazing experiences.
If you are a new student to the University and want to get involved complete and submit the 2016 Membership Intent Form so we can stay in touch with you regarding participation. Be sure to stop by the UNC Bands table at the Information Fair when you are on campus for Orientation to say hello and make sure you have all the material you need for membership.
